National Stamp Collecting Competition

The annual competition is organised by Singapore Philatelic Museum and supported by the Ministry of Education. The competition aims to promote the study of postage stamps and philatelic materials to learn about Singapore and the world. Primary and secondary school students work in groups of four to submit philatelic exhibitions and narratives based on a theme of their choice such as nature, culture and technology. Winning entries will be awarded with trophies and certificates, and schools can compete to win the school championship trophy. The competition allows students to sharpen learning and thinking skills such as language development, writing, research and creativity.
